Custom Home Building Process
Step 1: Project Meet & Greet
The initial meeting between Maxwell Development & Construction and the client involves discussing the client’s goals and our building process. We will discuss things like lot location, lot size, home style, home size, home features, wants, needs, budget and timelines.
Step 2: Lot Location & Design
Once the lot is determined we can put a conceptual design together based on the lot. We will review the conceptual design of the home with the client and make any changes necessary until our client loves the floorplan. Once the floor plan is determined we will produce exterior renderings of the home.
Step 3: Budget Creation & Review
After the floorplan, exterior renderings and building lot are approved by the client, we will put together a total budget for the project and meet with the client to review the budget.
Step 4: Financing (if the client financing the project through a bank)
Once the total budget is approved, the client will meet with a local bank to give the bank the construction plans and budget to obtain approval for a construction loan. We have preferred local lender recommendations.
Step 5: Contract Signing & Build Start
Maxwell Development & Construction will meet with the client to review and discuss the contract to build and have the client sign the contract to start the build process.
Step 6: Permits & Construction
Maxwell Development & Construction will submit all plans to the building department for review and approval. Once approved, they’ll issue permits and then we will start your new home build!
